Always a case for arguments, the handicap committee use their own rules for the tournaments and do not follow the usual rules of golf. This is because we want everyone to have a chance of winning, not just the best player - but the best player in relation to their standard should be the winner.
So we have allowed some girly 36 handicappers in and at the other end, some quite savage handicaps to make sure that if a good player wins, they really deserve it.
Not all are happy with this process, but they can always appeal to the committee who will consider all details carefully before deciding we were right in the first place.
The ones on the left are regulars, the ones on the right are occasional players.
